4 Words……Matte…..Black….Spray….Paint!!!
I’m telling you, black spray paint turns pretty much anything into a cute modern stylish amazingness!!! You love the shape or raised design on that hideous vase you spotted at the thrift shop…… Spray the hell out of it, and what you are left with is a chic modern gorgeous piece of decor.
Well I pretty much use this philosophy on anything & everything, Frames, mirrors, vases, and of course this cute little crab couple!!!
As far as these little metal sculptures go. They were here when I moved in, they lived on the bathroom wall. They are cute…. But MUCH cuter Revamped.!!!
You can find  little metal pieces like these right at the dollar store in the  home decor & garden isles. They usually have flowers or animals or pretty things like dragonflies n such…
I didn’t have money to just redecorate my bathroom. So I looked into my bag of tricks & figured I would keep them and revamp the heck outta them!!!
You can use acrylic paint for the little designs but I used just the nail polish I had on hand, and IÂ like the glossy finish the lacquer has where as acrylic wouldn’t!!!
After just an hour, my bathroom had a whole different look. No more children’s under the sea look!!

Here We Gooooo!

Step 1.
Peruse your local dollar store or garden shops to find sculpture of your LoViNg!!

Step 2.
Ok I weirdly enjoy spray painting anything asyou can see,  because I also took the cheap wood looking medicine cabinet mirror off the bathroom cabinet and decided to spray that!! Looks sooo much better and Matches!!!
So spray your little beauties, I did two coats. It dries very fast!!
Once dry…. that’s it , they r now ready to just decorate. Easy Peasy.

Don’t judge me!! My nail polish is for art because clearly I cant paint my own toes!!
 Step 3.
So once you have your colors picked out.  Just sit back, maybe in the sun with some music like me and relax. You are ready to just free hand your design. I like the minimal amount of detail. I just kind of free-styled the little designs with things like dots n lines n shapes swirls & such. Just very simplistic designs.
Use the clear gloss to do things, like the dots & it will give the flat black a glossy finish in those spots essentially just adding another color type element.
When you use a color, try to do both pieces at a time so when you are done you don’t have to go back to that color later, saving you time & clean up.
Dip your brush into the nail polish remover, and wipe the pigment off with your rag. Then move on to your next color.
                    Vuala!!!
                Hang & Enjoy!!
 Till Next Time
