Authentic Looking Jungle sign DIY!

I am So proud of this video! I asked my man to just help me make a base for this sign I wanted and he transformed the entire piece for the baby shower!!

It was extremely easy but Looks so amazingly real like it was literally made in the jungle!! It was a great addition to the baby shower to lead the people inside and it will be a great decor piece for baby Atticus’s nursery!!!

Here’s what you need!!

First we cut three pieces of random sized random width wood, The top on is thinner & longer, Middle one shorter and wider & bottom on kinda in the middle.

Using our scroll saw (they r awesome!! get one! we got ours on craigs list!!)

we made random cuts n grooves & holes! We then took a blow torch and burned random edges & spots so make it look more real! (it works)

Then we painted the back of them black & drilled hold in the top middle of each board with each hole a little of centered, this will make it so they fall unevenly when you hang them!

After varnishing them you paint on your letters in a natural color scheme, using two colors for each word, a main color and an outlining color!

theeeennnn you take your bamboo stalk and split the bottom into three pieces bending each piece outward ( these will help sturdy your base) your base will be adjoining pieces that will meet at the bottom & screwing all parts together .

Then take your rope and weave it in an out of each piece at the base to make it look knotted together . This finishing touch will truly give it that authentic look!
