Soo Pretty much…. to sum it up. We moved into this home with nothing but some gifted couches,some mattresses, a kitchen table and some plastic dish ware!! 🙁
We have been slowly working on our home for a little while now, This will be part of a series I will do room by room. We also decided to paint the outside of our abode, so needless to say this work horse of a Mumma has been busy. This is part of a before & after living room series.
First thing first we decided to get the kids rooms ready so they would at least feel like they have a space all about them where they can go that is more upbeat, creative and fun then the rest of the house…..
Second after both kids rooms were done I have been working on the living room and just little projects. Becoming preggers, lets just say things sloooowed down A LOT & now with a 4 month old…things have just only picked up a little .
BUT I just obviously live for thrifting. Its Ridic!!! Everything you will see will pretty much be thrifted or we made!!!
I am like Columbus sailing the seven seas of Thrift and discovering trinkets & treasures just waiting to be revived & adored.
So this part series will be part of the living room, which I am starting to LOVE , we just got a TV that Chad mounted high up on the wall….which by the way, I totally disagreed at how high it was and now I LOVE it!!!!!! ( go figure, he is right again!!) *sticking tongue out at him like child *
It is like full theater movie night madness when we have our fam movie nights, and best but not least is the kids can do all the jumping dancing & flips they want, they will never succeed in getting in the way of our cuddle Sesh of watching Impractical Jokers!!! Parents for the WIN!!!!!
SOO I didn’t take a before pic…because with my mindset I’m like what you would call a goldfish…..I think oh don’t forget take a pic, n then I’m like “Oooo look at that sparkly thing in the window” forever forgotten and quickly regretted that I didn’t take that pic!!!!
BUT I do have this one, it is when we did the big reveal to the kids on whether they were getting a brother or sister!!!! After solving multiple riddles & clues, only then did the Pink Balloons Rain down on them!!! It was AMAZZIINNGGG…..
OK so this is my before. We legit had like 3 couches that were gifted!! & as you can see pretty plain… But did the trick.
And nooooooowwwww…….. lots of thrifting and a baby later…….
Now seems so simple BUT this took me a little while to find to make the things I LoVe!!!!! Being Preggo & post preggo n all!

This Little Gem I found I think is supposed to go outside like above a garden somewhere. I think there might have been 2 more pieces to go with this but for 2$ I was like why not. Looks like stone but nice and light to hang for the walls. It gives some texture so the wall which I like, Its unique & fun.
Plants make life livable for me in my home I GOSTA have them.. now keeping them alive…….#thestruggleisreal but this little guy has been very happy here!!!
This frame was .25 cents and I popped in a drawing I made from my Past life as a beekeeper in my high school days…..
It was too bright to get the full beautiful green color of my love sign I made.. that coupled with the plant pops out which I Love!!!

The lights are one of my favorite pieces. thrifted for just a couple of dollars BUT actually at target on sale for $10 I saw the other day!!!! WiN!!!
This couch I could die for. it is so comfortable, I know not everyone loves these corner full couches but for my big family and how we fully practice the art of relaxation aka Hedonism it is a MUST!!!
Its solo funny because Chad and I saw this at a thrift store and we were going to buy it for the $90.00. BUT it was pretty dirty and stained looking. Then we went to one of my loves aka his sister’s house aka my sisters house down the street, cause she wanted to show us her new couch!!!!!! IT was THE SAME COUCH!!!! She cleaned that sucker up soo good I was secretly kicking myself for not scooping it up. Great minds think alike…. only my mind wasn’t smart enough to scoop it up!!! haha. Well the Pass it down gods must have been in all of our favors. Cause she was given a beautiful couple of white GORG couches and sheeee called me one morning saying she was giving me hers!!!!! SOOoooo only a couple of weeks after we saw it we got it…….And for FREEE!!!! hehehe
Sooo this is just part of the living room as you can see. Will be updating each part because I have a few DIYs in store for them!!!
Sooon to an electrical device near you will be the before and after of the outside!!!! which is like night & day with just a few cans of paint!!!! *the crowd goes wild… it’s another win for the Maria & Chad Family!!!!!!!*
